- Membership in the Northeast Oratorio Society is open to anyone interested in singing great music. Singers in all sections are welcome. Although ability to read music is required there is intensive rehearsal time so that singers at all levels of musical skill should be able to participate.
- Rehearsal CDs and tapes are provided.
- Solo opportunities are available for qualified singers. Because we give multiple performances, solos are often assigned on a rotating basis
- The Society rehearses from 7:45 to 9:30 PM every Monday evening. In addition, separate sectional rehearsals are held usually on Sunday afternoons at 3 PM. The regular rehearsal venue is Calvary Lutheran Church, 9610 Northeast Ave. Philadelphia, PA. 19115. Some rehearsals are also held at other nearby churches and with the Bucks County Choir at the Hellyer School of the Performing Arts in Bensalem. Performances are held at several locations in the area. Members with transportation problems can join one of several car-pools to rehearsals and performances.
